What causes ants to invade your home/business?

  • Ants most commonly invade homes and businesses because they've found a food source (such as unattended food). When an ant finds this food source, they go back to their nest and let other ants know of a food source, which causes them all to migrate inside.

  • Making sure all food is stored properly and not left out is a good start. If you're discarding food in the garbage, it's best to discard it in an outside bin so as to avoid ants from coming and searching through your bins inside.
