How do I know if I have mice?

  • You may notice droppings or a strong smell of urine. Mice are also noisy little creatures and tend to squeak and chew their way behind the walls. If you notice any holes near the base of your walls, there’s a good chance you have a mice infestation.

How do you get mice?

  • Mice, like many animals, prefer a warm, safe environment – especially towards the end of autumn. While they may just be looking for a warm place to sleep, lack of hygiene and cleanliness (ie- garbage, food, etc) may lure them to coming in.

Are mice dangerous?

  • This depends on the species, but mice and rats have been known to carry various infections and illnesses that may be severe to your health. They also tend to spread ticks, fleas, and mites. If you suspect a mouse or rat has made you ill, please seek medical attention.

Do mice reproduce fast?

  • Yes, they do. Mice can start gestation as early as 2 - 3 months, and can have up to 10 litters per year.

Do glue traps or traditional traps work?

  • They can, but they may not be as effective in removing the pest from your home, especially if you are infested with multiple mice or rats.
